Frank Stapleton
Frank Stapleton won his only major honor with Arsenal in the 1979 FA Cup final. He scored Arsenals second goal in a dramatic match against Manchester united which has become famous as the ‘five minute final.’ Two years later, Stapleton joined the club he had helped beat at Wembley on that extraordinary day. Although Manchester united parted with a record £1 million for the big striker, it proved to be a fantastic investment. Stapleton returned to Wembley with United in 1983 and 1985 to complete a hat trick of FA Cup wins.

Paul McGrath
In Autumn 1982, McGrath made his Manchester United debut in a match against Spurs at Old Trafford. In the 1985 FA Cup final, McGrath won huge praise for putting the defensive shackles on Everton forward Graeme Sharp. The improvement of the Irishman had not gone unnoticed across the Irish Sea and he was chosen to appear for the Republic of Ireland.
McGrath left Old Trafford in 1989 and moved to Aston Villa, in his debut season at Villa, they only allowed in thirty eight goals, a record second only to the champions, Liverpool.
